This one had a little bit of everything going on. Overgrown shrubs crowding the siding, beds that needed a full cleanup, and a small removal to open things up. It's the kind of job where you don't realize how much is weighing the front of the house down until it's all cleaned up and sitting in front of you.

We handled the full bed cleanup first - clearing out the debris and dead material so we were working with a clean slate. From there, we shaped up the shrubs throughout the property. The front beds especially came a long way. The boxwoods along the porch went from scraggly to tight, clean rounds that actually complement the brick and siding instead of fighting it.

The mulch pull-through tied it all together. Fresh dark brown mulch across the beds does something simple but effective - it makes everything pop. The trimmed shrubs look sharper against it, the bed lines hold better, and the whole front of the house just reads cleaner from the street.

On the back side of the house, the beds sit along a retaining wall that needed attention too. With the shrubs trimmed back and fresh mulch laid in around them, that whole area went from cluttered to structured. It's the kind of detail that gets overlooked but makes a real difference in how the property feels overall.

We take a lot of pride in jobs like this one. It's not always a big dramatic overhaul - sometimes it's just doing the right work, in the right order, with care. That's what good landscaping looks like.
