When a home is going on the market, the yard is the first thing a buyer sees. Overgrown shrubs, weeds taking over the beds, and no color - it all sends the wrong message before anyone even walks through the door. That's exactly what we were working with here. The front beds were a mess, the shrubs had outgrown their shape, and the whole property just looked tired.

We started with a full cleanup - pulling weeds, cutting back overgrown growth, and getting the beds cleared out so we had a clean slate to work with. The shrub trimming made a big difference on its own. Shrubs that are shaped up and under control give a home a polished, intentional look that buyers respond to. It tells them the property has been cared for.

Fresh mulch went in across the beds, which ties everything together visually. We also added pops of annual color to give the front some life and warmth. It's a simple move, but color catches the eye and photographs well - which matters a lot when buyers are scrolling through listings online.

The existing stone retaining walls on this property are a real feature. Clean beds and fresh mulch right up against that stacked stone make it all read as intentional and well-maintained rather than neglected. The whole property went from looking rough around the edges to something a buyer could actually picture themselves coming home to. That's the goal - every time.
