When a bad storm rolls through, it doesn't wait for a convenient time. Trees come down fast, and what was a healthy-looking tree in your yard can become a serious hazard to your home, your outbuildings, and your family within seconds. That's exactly what we've been seeing across Champaign, Logan, and surrounding counties lately - and we've been on the ground helping people get their properties safe again.

The calls we're responding to range from uprooted trees that landed directly on rooftops and porches, to large limbs that came down and punched through siding and overhangs. Some of these situations are serious. When a full-sized tree lands on a structure, every move matters. You have to work smart - piece by piece - to get the weight off without causing more damage. That's where our bucket truck and the right equipment really earn their keep.

Storm tree work isn't the same as routine removal. The tree is already compromised, often under tension, and sometimes tangled up with power lines or buried in a structure. Our crew doesn't just show up with a chainsaw and hope for the best. We assess the situation first, figure out the safest way to work through it, and take it down in a controlled sequence. We've done this enough times to know where things can go wrong.

We're out running calls across the area - tree removals, broken limb cleanup, trimming hazardous branches that are hanging and ready to fall. If you've got damage on your property and you're not sure what to do next, get it looked at. A tree sitting against your roof or leaning over a structure isn't something you want to leave alone. The longer it sits, the more risk you're carrying.

If someone you know took storm damage and needs help, share this with them. We're working through calls as fast as we can and serving Champaign, Logan, and the surrounding counties. Stay safe out there.
