This one had a little bit of everything. Old, tired beds that needed a full cleanout, a problem spot that had to be addressed before anything else could happen, and a layout that just needed some attention to pull it all back together. Lake properties get a lot of use, and the landscaping tends to show it.

We started by clearing out the old beds - getting rid of dead material, pulling weeds, and dealing with that problem area that had been causing issues. Getting the ground right before you put anything down matters. Fresh mulch on top of a messy base doesn't fix anything, it just covers it up temporarily.

Once the beds were cleaned out and the problem spot was corrected, we laid fresh mulch throughout and finished select areas with river rock for a clean, low-maintenance border. The rock detail along the waterside edge especially came out sharp - it gives the property a polished, intentional look that holds up over time without a ton of upkeep.

The front and side beds got the same treatment - cleared out, fresh dark mulch laid in, and the natural stone border reset and cleaned up. The whole property ties together now. Lawn is tight, beds are clean, and everything looks like it belongs there.
